Stakeholder Workshops on Integration of Wind Generation and the Electricity 10-year Network Development Plan (TYNDP)

When: 9:30 - 13:00, 11 Feb 2010

Venue: Marriott Brussels Hotel

Within the context of 2 ongoing public consultations, European energy regulators will hold 2 half-day workshops on 11 February 2010.

Regulators have issued a public consultation on the CEER report "Regulatory aspects of the integration of wind generation in European electricity markets" (deadline 18 February 2010). European energy regulators are considering these issues to ensure that the regime facilitates the deployment of wind generation and does not inhibit market integration. The purpose of this report is to present European energy regulators’ thoughts on how wind generation should be integrated into the market and network arrangements as well as to highlight areas for further consideration in light of its increasing deployment.

Another ongoing consultation is on the ERGEG "Draft Advice on the Community-wide Ten-year Electricity Network Development Plan" (deadline 25 February 2010). This document sets out ERGEG’s draft advice for the development of the Community-wide ten-year development plan, in accordance with the legislative requirements, as guidance for ENTSO-E’s work in this area during the interim period. ERGEG will use this document when giving its duly reasoned opinion on ENTSO-E’s draft Community-wide ten-year network development plan.

The 2 half-day workshops - wind (morning session) and TYNDP (afternoon session) - will provide regulators with the opportunity of dialogue with stakeholders and to consider the discussions during the workshop' within the context of the respective public consultations.

Last date for registration is 1st February 2010.
