About the Topic:
In today’s fast changing global environment, a competition policy is required to establish and maintain a market structure that promotes competition. Hence, the regulators, in conjunction with the other market players need to focus upon competition aspects of regulation including how to deal with anti-competitive forces, strengthening competitive forces, and competition in natural monopolies. Competition is the driver for businesses to improve their performance, develop new products and respond to changing circumstances. Effective competition in the provision of products and services has demonstrated that it will deliver lower prices, improved efficiency, and improved choice for consumers, and higher economic growth.

It will help Members to get introduced to the issues involved, and raise the challenges being faced by them. It will also help the trainers become better acquainted with issues and views of the Members, and fine-tuning the content of workshops.
